She achieved her Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 1997. Committed to continuous professional development, Dr Downes has also earned postgraduate qualifications in Skin Cancer Medicine, Skin Cancer Surgery, Dermoscopy, and Dermatology.
