Dr Saibal Guha

Dr Saibal Guha is a highly qualified and compassionate Consultant Psychiatrist based in Cleveland, Australia. He provides comprehensive psychiatric care with a strong focus on adult mental health, neurodevelopmental conditions, and neurodiversity. Dr Guha is particularly dedicated to supporting individuals with Adult Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and other neuropsychiatric conditions. His clinical approach is deeply rooted in positive psychology and holistic care, aiming to empower patients and support them on their recovery journeys.

In his clinical practice, Dr Guha offers expertise in managing a wide range of conditions, including mood disorders, depression, and anxiety spectrum ailments. He is highly skilled in utilising evidence-based treatment modalities, such as repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (rTMS) for depression, as well as cognitive and coaching-based therapy models. His therapeutic framework often incorporates motivational and schema therapy processes, tailored to meet the unique needs of each patient. Additionally, Dr Guha has extensive experience in military psychiatry and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), having previously served as a Medical Officer in the armed forces.

Dr Guha completed his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) in India in 1986. He went on to pursue specialist psychiatric training, obtaining his Doctor of Medicine (MD) in Psychiatry in 1998. After relocating to Australia in 2004, he was admitted as a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (FRANZCP) in 2006. Throughout his career, Dr Guha has held senior clinical and leadership roles, including serving as a Senior Staff Specialist across multiple Australian states. He has also contributed to the education of future medical professionals as a Senior Lecturer in Psychiatry at both the University of Queensland and Griffith University.
