Dr Ruzhe Chew

Dr Ruzhe Chew is a compassionate and highly skilled Psychiatrist who is dedicated to supporting patients on their mental health journeys. He adopts a considered, pragmatic, and collaborative approach to psychiatric assessment and management, ensuring that each individual feels heard and respected. By working closely with patients, Dr Chew aims to establish a strong therapeutic alliance, tailoring his care plans to meet the unique needs and goals of every individual he treats.

In his clinical practice, Dr Chew focuses on general adult psychiatry, with a particular interest in the treatment of Post-traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). His areas of clinical focus also include mood disorders and treatment-resistant depression. He remains dedicated to exploring novel and emerging therapies to provide comprehensive, evidence-based care for complex psychiatric conditions, helping patients achieve stability and an improved quality of life.

Dr Chew completed his medical studies in the United Kingdom, obtaining his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MB ChB) from the University of Aberdeen in 2014. He subsequently moved to Australia, where he undertook his specialist training in general adult psychiatry. In 2023, he achieved Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (FRANZCP), demonstrating his commitment to maintaining the highest professional standards in his psychiatric practice.
