Dr Ruth Spencer is a dedicated and highly skilled General Practitioner who provides comprehensive, patient-centred care. With a professional background that spans both emergency medicine and primary care, she brings a wealth of clinical expertise to her practice. Dr Spencer is passionate about the diversity of rural General Practice, offering supportive and reassuring care to individuals and families. Her approach focuses on fostering long-term patient relationships and delivering preventative healthcare to promote overall well-being.

While experienced in all aspects of family medicine, Dr Spencer has developed a strong clinical focus on women's health. She possesses expert knowledge in menopause management, supporting patients through the menopause transition and assisting with healthy ageing. Her areas of interest also encompass sexual health, vulval and genital skin health, and providing compassionate counselling and options for unplanned pregnancies. Additionally, she is accredited in the insertion and removal of contraceptive devices, including Implanon and Mirena, and has experience providing shared pregnancy care.

Dr Spencer completed her medical degree in the United Kingdom. After completing her internship, she relocated to Australia, where she gained extensive experience working as an Emergency Doctor in various regional and metropolitan hospitals before undertaking specialist training in General Practice. Committed to ongoing professional development and high standards of care, she is an active member of the Australasian Menopause Society Limited. She also contributes to the future of the medical profession through her involvement in teaching and supervising medical students.
