Dr Lancaster obtained his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery with Honours from the University of Queensland in 2001. Following his graduation, he gained valuable clinical experience working at a major hospital on the Gold Coast and subsequently spent a period practising in the United Kingdom. Upon returning to Brisbane, he completed his specialist General Practice training in 2009. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners, reflecting his commitment to maintaining the highest standards of medical practice.
