Dr Ross Penglase

Dr Ross Penglase is a highly dedicated Rheumatologist who is committed to delivering compassionate, patient-centred care. He focuses on providing up-to-date, evidence-based diagnosis and treatment across a broad spectrum of inflammatory, autoimmune, and musculoskeletal conditions. With a reassuring and professional approach, he works closely with patients to manage complex rheumatic disorders and improve their overall quality of life.

In his clinical practice, Dr Penglase has a particular interest in connective tissue diseases, including systemic sclerosis, also known as scleroderma, and lupus. His expertise also extends to the management of inflammatory arthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, vasculitis, and crystal arthritis, such as gout. Alongside his clinical work, he is an active Clinical Researcher who has contributed significantly to the medical literature through peer-reviewed publications and presentations at both national and international conferences.

Dr Penglase completed his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery with Honours at the Australian National University in 2011. He went on to achieve a PhD from the University of New South Wales in 2025. He was admitted as a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 2019. Dr Penglase maintains active professional memberships with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and the Australian Rheumatology Association, ensuring his practice remains at the forefront of modern rheumatological care.
