Dr Rohit Saldanha

Dr Rohit Saldanha is a highly qualified Consultant Paediatrician, Paediatric Immunologist, and Allergist who provides comprehensive care for infants, children, and adolescents. With a clinical focus that spans general paediatric medicine as well as specialised immunology and allergy care, he is dedicated to supporting families through both everyday health concerns and complex medical journeys. Dr Saldanha is experienced in managing a wide range of acute, chronic, and complex medical issues, ensuring that each young patient receives tailored, compassionate, and reassuring care.

His extensive clinical background includes working within neonatal and paediatric intensive care units, equipping him with the expertise to manage critical and acute paediatric conditions. Dr Saldanha specialises in diagnosing and treating all forms of allergies, including food, drug, and environmental allergies, as well as complex disorders of the immune system and inflammatory diseases. Alongside his clinical practice, he is deeply committed to medical education and clinical research. He has held postdoctoral research positions at leading national laboratories and institutes, where his research focused on the role of pollen allergens in atopic diseases.

Dr Saldanha completed his medical degree, obtaining his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery. He went on to earn a Master of Science in Research-Pathology and a Doctor of Science in Paediatrics. He completed his advanced specialist training through a major tertiary paediatric hospital network. Dr Saldanha is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians, holding Fellow status in both General Paediatrics and Clinical Immunology & Allergy. He remains actively involved in teaching medical students and training paediatric residents, contributing to the advancement of paediatric medicine.
