Dr Rodney Wilson is a dedicated and compassionate General Practitioner who provides comprehensive primary care to individuals and families in the Ballina region. With a strong belief in the continuity of care, Dr Wilson values the social and community-focused nature of working as a Family Doctor. As a versatile General Practitioner, Dr Wilson is interested in all aspects of family medicine. He has a particular clinical focus on men's health and paediatric care, enjoying the opportunity to support the health and development of young children. His broad expertise also encompasses chronic disease management, preventative medicine, immunisations, and travel medicine, helping patients maintain their general health and wellbeing. Additionally, he serves as a Visiting Medical Officer at the local district hospital, where he provides dedicated care to his patients and contributes to the on-call roster.

Dr Wilson completed his medical education at Newcastle University, graduating with a Bachelor of Medicine in 1990. Committed to maintaining the highest standards of clinical excellence, he regularly attends ongoing medical education events. He actively participates in the Continuing Medical Education programme of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners, ensuring his practice remains aligned with the latest advancements in primary healthcare.

Outside of his clinical practice, Dr Wilson is deeply connected to the local community and has made the scenic North Coast his family home. He is a passionate outdoor enthusiast who enjoys spending his free time surfing, mountain bike riding, fly-fishing, bushwalking, and camping.
