Dr Robert Stirling

Dr Robert Stirling is a highly regarded Consultant Respiratory Physician and Allergy Specialist based in East Melbourne. Known for his reassuring and patient-centred approach, he is dedicated to providing comprehensive, high-quality care to individuals experiencing complex lung and immune system disorders. Dr Stirling works closely with his patients to develop personalised management plans, ensuring they feel supported and informed throughout their healthcare journey.

He holds an academic appointment as a Clinical Adjunct Associate Professor, actively teaching and mentoring medical students, Resident Medical Officers, and Respiratory Registrars. As a leader in clinical quality improvement, he serves as the Coordinating Principal Investigator and Steering Committee Chair for a major state-based lung cancer registry. His outstanding contributions to respiratory oncology, clinical education, and national quality improvement were formally recognised when he was appointed a Member of the Order of Australia.
