Dr Robert John George is a highly qualified and dedicated General Surgeon who provides comprehensive surgical care. With a patient-centred philosophy built on an approachable and personalised framework, he is committed to delivering evidence-based practice and patient safety. Dr George focuses on achieving outcomes that are both medically sound and aesthetically considered, ensuring that each patient receives the highest standard of care tailored to their individual needs.

His clinical expertise spans a broad range of surgical disciplines. As a Specialist Surgeon, Dr George has extensive experience in managing acute abdominal conditions, hernia repairs, and gallbladder surgeries. He also possesses advanced training in surgical oncology, skin cancer and melanoma treatments, and breast surgery, including both benign conditions and breast cancer management. Additionally, he performs endoscopy and colonoscopy procedures, as well as minimally invasive facial rejuvenation and cosmetic breast procedures.

Dr George established a strong academic foundation early in his career, graduating as a University medallist and subsequently pursuing a scientific PhD. He was admitted as a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) and completed further post-fellowship subspecialty training in emergency surgery, breast surgery, and melanoma, sarcoma, and endocrine surgery. He maintains active professional memberships and certifications with several prestigious bodies, including General Surgery Australia, GESA-Endoscopy, Breast Surgery Australia and New Zealand (BreastSurgANZ), and the Melanoma Institute of Australia. He also remains deeply committed to clinical research and the training of Junior Doctors.
