Mr Robert Hermann

Mr Robert Hermann is a highly qualified Podiatrist and Specialist Podiatric Surgeon who has dedicated his career to the comprehensive medical and surgical management of foot and ankle conditions. He provides patient-centred care, focusing on accurate diagnosis and tailored treatment plans to help patients regain mobility and return to their normal activities. His clinical practice encompasses a wide range of reconstructive foot and ankle procedures, from minimally invasive techniques to complex joint fusions, ensuring that each patient receives the most appropriate and effective care for their specific condition.

Mr Hermann completed his undergraduate studies in podiatry at the South Australian Institute of Technology in 1984. He subsequently undertook advanced training, qualifying for a Fellowship of the Australasian College of Podiatric Surgeons in 1991. To further refine his surgical expertise, he completed post-fellowship training in the United States, including a prestigious fellowship programme at the Podiatry Institute in Atlanta, Georgia. Committed to academic excellence, he also holds a Graduate Certificate in Research Methodologies from the University of South Australia and a Professional Doctorate in health science from the Queensland University of Technology.

Throughout his career, Mr Hermann has been actively involved in the advancement of his profession. He has served in key leadership roles, including as President of the Australasian College of Podiatric Surgeons, and has contributed significantly to clinical research and education. He developed a national online audit tool designed to monitor and improve surgical outcomes in foot and ankle care. As an Endorsed Prescriber, he is qualified to prescribe scheduled medicines for podiatric conditions, offering a holistic approach to patient management. He is also an International Affiliate of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons.
