Dr Ricky Kumar

Dr Ricky Kumar is an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon at Offspring Health with over 10 years of experience. He completed medical degree at the University of Auckland, New Zealand in 2001 followed by his Bachelor of Dental Surgery degree at the University of Otago, New Zealand in 2006. He went on to complete his maxillofacial surgery training in Adelaide and became a Fellow in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons in 2012. After being awarded his fellowship, he completed his subspecialty training in paediatric maxillofacial surgery and corrective jaw surgery at the Royal Children's Hospital in Melbourne, as well as further subspecialty training at Oxford University Hospital in the UK.

Dr Kumar also holds public appointments at the Royal Children's Hospital, the Royal Dental Hospital of Melbourne, Monash Health and the Royal Melbourne Hospital. Alongside his clinical positions, he also is a surgical training supervisor at Dandenong Hospital and the Royal Dental Hospital, as well as a Guest Lecturer at the University of Melbourne's Dental Faculty.

Dr Kumar has clinical interests in TMJ surgery, corrective jaw surgery, dentoalveolar surgery, paediatric maxillofacial surgery, oral pathology, implantology and facial trauma.
