Dr Ranchigodagama Perera is a dedicated and highly experienced General Practitioner who provides comprehensive, patient-centred care. Dr Perera obtained her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from the University of Colombo, Sri Lanka, in 1985. After relocating to Australia, she successfully completed the Australian Medical Council examinations in 1995 to secure her medical certification. She subsequently undertook advanced training through the Family Medicine Programme and was admitted as a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2000. To keep her clinical skills sharp and up to date, she also spent a significant period working in accident and emergency medicine, which has given her a robust foundation in managing acute clinical presentations.

Throughout her career, Dr Perera has developed a diverse range of clinical interests. She possesses considerable expertise in women's health and paediatrics, offering compassionate care for mothers, children, and adolescents. Her clinical focus also extends to immunisations, men's health, and chronic disease management, including conditions such as Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD). Additionally, she is skilled in minor procedures, including the insertion and removal of contraceptive devices such as Mirena and Implanon, and has a keen interest in child and adolescent mental health.
