Dr Rahul Kurup

Dr Rahul Kurup is a highly skilled Consultant and Interventional Cardiologist dedicated to providing comprehensive, evidence-based cardiovascular care. He specialises in diagnostic and therapeutic coronary interventions, combining advanced technical expertise with a compassionate, patient-centred approach. Dr Kurup is committed to delivering personalised treatment strategies that address both immediate cardiac concerns and long-term cardiovascular health, ensuring his patients feel supported and reassured throughout their healthcare journey.

With a strong focus on preventative cardiology, Dr Kurup actively promotes lifestyle-based strategies to reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease. His clinical interests extend to percutaneous interventions for coronary artery and structural heart diseases, utilising minimally invasive cardiac procedures to achieve optimal patient outcomes. In addition to his clinical practice, Dr Kurup is deeply involved in cardiovascular research. Dr Kurup completed his medical degree at the University of Adelaide before undertaking his specialist training to qualify as a Cardiologist. He subsequently completed a prestigious clinical fellowship in interventional cardiology in Canada, where he gained extensive experience in complex coronary procedures. Dr Kurup also holds a PhD from the University of Sydney, reflecting his dedication to advancing the field of cardiology. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) and a Member of the Cardiac Society of Australia and New Zealand (FCSANZ). Additionally, he contributes to the education of future medical professionals as a Clinical Associate Lecturer.
