Dr Rafia Akhter

Dr Rafia Akhter is a dedicated and compassionate General Practitioner who is deeply committed to delivering high-quality healthcare to the community of Boronia, Victoria. Dr Akhter obtained her medical degree from Dhaka University, Bangladesh, in 2001. Following her graduation, she gained valuable experience practising in the field of women's healthcare. After relocating to Australia in 2005, she completed multiple clinical rotations across various hospitals in Victoria, gaining broad exposure to the Australian healthcare system. In 2013, she achieved her specialist qualification as a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP), reflecting her high standards of clinical excellence.

As an experienced General Practitioner, Dr Akhter is highly skilled in all aspects of General Medicine. She has developed particular clinical interests in Paediatrics, Women's Health, and Aged Care, allowing her to provide tailored support to patients at every stage of life, from early childhood through to the senior years.
