Dr Rachael Eddywing

Dr Rachael Eddywing is a compassionate and dedicated General Practitioner who is committed to delivering thoughtful, patient-centred care to individuals and families. Known for her empathetic and evidence-based approach, she strives to create a supportive and inclusive environment where patients feel heard, respected, and empowered throughout their healthcare journey. She enjoys all aspects of General Practice, focusing on comprehensive care that addresses both immediate concerns and long-term wellness.

With a diverse range of clinical interests, Dr Eddywing has developed particular expertise in women's health, including antenatal care, contraception, and peri/menopause management. She is a Certified Practitioner trained in the insertion of intrauterine devices (IUDs) and contraceptive implants, and she also provides medical termination services. Her practice extends to adolescent and sexual health, paediatrics, and neurodivergent care, specifically supporting patients with ADHD and ASD. Additionally, she is passionate about chronic disease management, skin cancer medicine, and the management of alcohol addiction. She strongly advocates for preventative health, with a particular interest in the role of low-carbohydrate nutrition in promoting long-term wellbeing.

Dr Eddywing completed her Bachelor of Science with Honours at The University of Queensland before pursuing her medical education. She graduated with her Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (M.B.,B.S.) from The University of Sydney in 2005. Following her graduation, she gained valuable clinical experience during her internship and residency at a regional hospital, and she has also worked internationally in San Francisco and Singapore. Committed to continuous professional development, she is a Certified Practitioner with Family Planning Queensland and has undertaken further studies in skin cancer medicine with the Australasian Skin Cancer College.
