Dr Praveen Jayaram

Dr Praveen Jayaram is a dedicated and highly experienced General Practitioner who is passionate about providing comprehensive care to patients of all ages. He enjoys all aspects of family medicine, offering compassionate and reassuring support to everyone from infants to grandparents. With a strong focus on lifestyle, disease prevention, and health promotion, Dr Jayaram works collaboratively with his patients to help them optimise their long-term health outcomes.

Dr Jayaram completed his medical education in India, graduating with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from Bangalore University in 1987. He later advanced his professional standing by becoming a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) in 2003. Demonstrating his commitment to the medical profession and the training of future doctors, he also serves as an Examiner for the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.

Throughout his career, Dr Jayaram has developed a diverse range of clinical interests, particularly in chronic disease management. He takes a structured approach to managing complex conditions such as hypertension, osteoporosis, cardiac issues, arthritis, chronic pain, and respiratory illnesses. Additionally, he is highly skilled in performing minor surgical procedures, including skin cancer checks, skin excisions, sebaceous cyst removals, wedge resections of toenails, and the insertion and removal of contraceptive implants.
