Dr Pramod Menon

Dr Pramod Menon is a highly qualified Consultant Psychiatrist based in Rockhampton, Australia. Dedicated to providing comprehensive and patient-centred care, Dr Menon focuses on achieving the best possible outcomes for individuals experiencing a wide range of mental health challenges. He is passionate about delivering holistic care that addresses both the mental and physical well-being of his patients, empowering them to make informed choices about their treatment journeys.

With a broad scope of practice, Dr Menon has clinical interests in general adult psychiatry and rehabilitation psychiatry. He provides expert assessment and management for conditions such as psychosis, mood disorders, anxiety and panic disorders, and eating disorders. Additionally, he is highly experienced in supporting patients with neurodevelopmental conditions, including attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and autism spectrum disorders, as well as complex conditions like bipolar affective disorder, schizophrenia, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). His therapeutic expertise also encompasses advanced treatment modalities, including Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT) and Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS).

Dr Menon completed his undergraduate medical studies at the University of Mumbai in India in 1999. He then relocated to the United Kingdom, where he undertook specialist training in psychiatry and obtained his Membership of the Royal College of Psychiatrists (MRCPsych) in 2008. In 2013, he completed higher specialist training in general adult psychiatry with an endorsement in rehabilitation psychiatry. Committed to medical education, he also earned a Postgraduate Certificate in Medical Education (PGCE) in the United Kingdom and has served as a Lecturer at the University of Queensland. After moving to Australia, Dr Menon achieved Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (FRANZCP) in 2017.
