Dr Pooja Kashyap

Dr Kashyap is a dedicated paediatrician who is passionate about children's health and well-being. She currently sees patients at Gosford Hospital and Westmead Hospital and has more than 12 years of experience in the field, having achieved a gold medal in general paediatrics. Dr Kashyap has a specific focus on newborn medicine and developmental and behavioural paediatrics, and she has previously spent time training in the psychological medicine department of The Children's Hospital at Westmead which enabled her to gain essential expertise in handling children with behavioural, neuropsychiatric, anxiety, and mental health difficulties.

Dr Kashyap is involved in medical education and is a conjoint lecturer at UNSW's Rural Clinical School. She has also helped to organise developmental assessment clinics on the Central Coast and has formerly worked as a medical student examiner at the University of Newcastle. She also has an interest in research and her studies include those such as Developmental Disabilities in Indigenous Children in Rural NSW.

Outside of work, Dr Kashyap spends time reading, listening to classical music, and spending time with her family.
