Dr Peter Stephenson

Dr Peter Stephenson is a dedicated and highly experienced General Practitioner who provides comprehensive, patient-centred healthcare. With a reassuring and professional approach, he is committed to delivering high-quality, personalised medical care to individuals and families. Dr Stephenson completed his medical education at London University, qualifying in 1974 with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (M.B.,B.S.), and holds diplomas as a Licentiate of the Royal College of Physicians (L.R.C.P.) and a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons (M.R.C.S.). Following his graduation, he completed his hospital internship in Medicine and Surgery at a hospital in Essex, England. He subsequently gained further clinical experience working as a Senior House Officer at a hospital in New Zealand, undertaking rotations in Casualty, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Medicine, and Surgery, before relocating to Australia to continue his career in General Practice.

Throughout his career, Dr Stephenson has developed a diverse range of clinical interests, with a particular focus on geriatric care and diabetes management. He provides a broad spectrum of primary care services, including routine health checks, skin checks, and vaccinations for both children and adults. Additionally, he is skilled in performing minor surgical procedures under local anaesthetic, such as the removal of skin lesions through freezing, burning, or excision. His holistic approach to family medicine ensures that patients of all ages receive thorough and compassionate care.
