Dr Peter Hawkins

Dr Peter Hawkins is a dedicated and compassionate General Practitioner who provides comprehensive healthcare to individuals and families. With a patient-centred approach, he focuses on delivering high-quality medical care tailored to the unique needs of each patient. Dr Hawkins is committed to promoting long-term health and well-being, offering support across all stages of life.

Before embarking on his medical career, Dr Hawkins gained valuable and diverse experience working in banking and nursing. Following his medical training, he served as a Medical Officer with the Australian Defence Force, travelling extensively and serving on overseas deployments. This unique background has provided him with a broad perspective and a versatile skill set, which he brings to his daily practice. He relocated to Mudgee in 2004 to establish his family medicine practice.

Dr Hawkins completed his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (BM BS) at Flinders University, graduating in 1999. He also holds a Bachelor of Nursing (BN). He is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP), reflecting his commitment to maintaining the highest standards of clinical excellence in General Practice.
