Dr Peter Chong

Dr Peter Chong is a highly qualified Urological Surgeon and Urologist based in Charlestown, Australia. He is dedicated to providing comprehensive, patient-centred care for a wide range of urological conditions. Dr Chong specialises in endourology, with a particular focus on minimally invasive treatments for kidney stone disease and upper tract laparoscopy. His clinical expertise also extends to managing lower urinary tract symptoms and treating urological cancers, including prostate, bladder, and kidney tumours. He is deeply committed to ensuring his patients are thoroughly informed about their diagnoses and all available treatment pathways before proceeding with any surgical intervention.

Dr Chong completed his undergraduate medical degree with Honours at the University of New South Wales, followed by advanced urological training within the New South Wales health system. To further refine his expertise, he completed a specialist Fellowship in Endourology in Edinburgh, United Kingdom, in 2009. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. Dr Chong maintains active professional memberships with several prestigious organisations, including the Urological Society of Australia and New Zealand, the European Association of Urology, and the Australian Medical Association.
