Dr Peter Choi

Dr Peter Choi is a highly accomplished Nephrologist who specialises in all aspects of renal medicine. With a patient-centred approach, he is dedicated to providing comprehensive and reassuring care for individuals experiencing kidney-related conditions. Dr Choi is actively involved in managing chronic kidney disease, hypertension, dialysis, transplantation, and non-dialysis conservative care. He is committed to helping patients navigate their treatment journeys with clarity and confidence.

In addition to general renal medicine, Dr Choi has developed specialised clinical interests in genetic renal diseases, nutritional challenges in kidney patients, and home dialysis. His dedication to advancing patient care is reflected in his leadership roles, where he serves as a Senior Staff Specialist and Director of a major Department of Nephrology. Through these positions, he works to implement proactive clinical models, such as renal supportive care programmes, to improve outcomes and enhance the quality of life for those with end-stage kidney disease.

Dr Choi completed his medical training in the United Kingdom, earning his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MB BChir) alongside a Master of Arts (MA) and a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD). He practised as a Specialist Nephrologist in London before relocating to Australia. Dr Choi is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians (FRCP) and a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP), reflecting his high standards of clinical excellence and ongoing commitment to the medical community.
