Dr Paul Paterson

Dr Paul Paterson is a dedicated and highly qualified General Practitioner who is committed to providing comprehensive, patient-centred care. He believes in the importance of sharing knowledge with his patients, empowering them to make informed decisions about their health and well-being. With a compassionate and reassuring approach, Dr Paterson focuses on delivering positive outcomes and building strong, collaborative relationships with those under his care.

Dr Paterson completed his undergraduate studies with a Bachelor of Science and a Bachelor of Arts before pursuing his medical degree. He graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from the University of Queensland in 2003. Committed to clinical excellence, he went on to obtain a Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP). Furthering his expertise in dermatological health, he completed a Master of Medicine in Skin Cancer at the University of Queensland and is recognised as an Accredited Skin Cancer Doctor by the Skin Cancer College Australasia. He also contributes to the medical community as a Senior Lecturer in the postgraduate skin cancer programme at the University of Queensland.

In his clinical practice, Dr Paterson provides a broad range of general practice services, with a particular focus on preventative health and patient education. He has developed advanced clinical interests in skin cancer medicine, regularly performing thorough skin cancer checks and assessments. Additionally, his areas of expertise include travel medicine advice and procedural general practice, such as the insertion and removal of contraceptive implants.
