Dr Paul Hammans

Dr Paul Hammans is a highly qualified Specialist Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon who provides comprehensive dental and surgical care. With a dual background in both medicine and dentistry, he focuses on delivering precise, patient-centred treatments. His clinical expertise encompasses a wide range of procedures, including dental implantology, advanced bone augmentation, and wisdom teeth removal. Dr Hammans is dedicated to ensuring that each patient receives reassuring, high-quality care tailored to their individual needs.

Dr Hammans completed his medical and dental education in Germany, graduating from the Medical School of the University of Bonn in 1983 and obtaining his PhD in Medicine in 1984. He subsequently attended dental school, graduating in 1989 and completing his PhD in Dentistry in 2000. He undertook his specialist training at the university hospital in Bonn and was awarded a Fellowship by the German Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons in 1993. After successfully completing the Australian Dental Council examinations, he relocated to Australia in 2005, where he has continued to provide expert surgical care across metropolitan and regional areas.

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr Hammans is deeply committed to professional education and mentorship. He has served as a Clinical Lecturer and Surgical Mentor for postgraduate dental implant programmes, sharing his extensive knowledge with the next generation of dental professionals. He has also lectured widely on topics related to oral surgery and dental implantology, contributing to the advancement of the field both in Australia and internationally.
