Dr Patrick Lan

Dr Patrick Lan is a highly dedicated Consultant Nephrologist and General Medicine Physician specialising in Renal Medicine. With a commitment to providing comprehensive and patient-centred care, he focuses on diagnosing, managing, and treating a wide range of kidney-related conditions. Dr Lan is known for his reassuring and professional approach, working closely with patients to develop tailored treatment plans that support their long-term health and well-being.

Dr Lan completed his medical education at the University of New South Wales, graduating with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) in 2003. He subsequently undertook his basic physician training and advanced renal training at major teaching hospitals in Sydney. In 2012, he completed his specialist training and was admitted as a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP). Furthering his academic and clinical expertise, Dr Lan also completed a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) at the University of Sydney, which focused on innovative blood pressure management techniques.

Throughout his career, Dr Lan has developed a strong clinical interest in hypertension, pregnancy-related hypertension, chronic kidney disease, and dialysis management. His research in these areas has been published in several international medical journals, and he frequently presents his findings at national and international conferences. In addition to his clinical practice, he has served as a Director of Physician Education, helping to train and mentor the next generation of medical professionals.
