Dr Okafor Omenka

Dr Okafor Omenka is a dedicated, empathetic, and caring General Practitioner who is committed to providing comprehensive, personalised care to his patients. With a professional background spanning multiple countries, including Nigeria, Barbados, and Australia, he brings a wealth of global medical experience to his practice. Dr Omenka strongly believes in the importance of preventative medicine and the early detection of chronic diseases, ensuring that each patient receives the individual attention and continuity of care they deserve to optimise their overall health and well-being.

Dr Omenka graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine / Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from Nigeria in 1999. Following his graduation, he completed combined training in general internal medicine and general practice in Nigeria, and subsequently worked as a Specialist Senior Registrar in Nephrology. He holds a membership of the West African College of Physicians (MWACP). Upon relocating to Australia, he attained the Australian Medical Council (AMC) Certificate and was awarded a fellowship of The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP).

Throughout his career, Dr Omenka has developed a broad range of clinical interests within family medicine. He is particularly passionate about managing chronic conditions such as diabetes, cardiovascular disease, asthma, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). His diverse expertise also encompasses men's health, paediatric and adolescent medicine, geriatric care, and musculoskeletal medicine. Additionally, he has a keen interest in integrative and regenerative medicine, travel health, and providing supportive care to indigenous and refugee communities.
