Dr Norman Walsh

Dr Norman Walsh is a highly dedicated General Practitioner who provides comprehensive, patient-centred care. With a compassionate and reassuring approach, he focuses on delivering personalised medical services to individuals and families. Dr Walsh is committed to fostering long-term relationships with his patients, ensuring continuity of care and a deep understanding of their unique health journeys. His practice encompasses a broad range of general medicine, with a strong emphasis on preventative health and overall wellbeing.

Dr Walsh completed his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery at a leading university in Sydney, qualifying in 1981. Committed to expanding his clinical expertise, he obtained a Certificate from the Australian Family Planning Associations in 1984 and was awarded a Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 1988. Furthering his qualifications in women's health, he completed a Diploma in Obstetrics with the Royal Australian College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in 1989. He has also served in key educational roles, including chairing dermatology updates for General Practitioners.

Throughout his career, Dr Walsh has accumulated diverse clinical experience, including providing medical care in rural and remote general practice locations across New South Wales and North Queensland, as well as working with an aeromedical service in Western Australia. He has also undertaken postgraduate paediatric training at a major children's hospital and has served as an accredited shared care General Practitioner in obstetrics and gynaecology. His clinical interests are extensive, spanning family medicine, men's and women's health, chronic disease management, and preventative care.
