Dr Nisha Prabaharan

Dr Nisha Prabaharan is a General Practitioner with a specialist focus in adolescent health and women’s health, known for her warm, approachable style and her ability to build strong rapport with teenagers and young adults.

She has a particular interest in adolescent medicine, supporting young people through the physical, emotional, and social changes of teenage years. Her approach emphasises trust, confidentiality, and clear communication, creating a safe space for patients aged 15 and over to discuss concerns such as anxiety, low mood, acne, sexual health, and sports injuries. She is recognised for helping bridge the gap between paediatric and adult care, ensuring continuity and confidence during key stages of development.

Dr Prabaharan also provides comprehensive women’s health services, including contraception advice and management, Implanon insertion and removal, and pregnancy care. She is an accredited antenatal shared-care provider for Royal North Shore Hospital and Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, working collaboratively with specialist maternity services to support women through pregnancy.
