Dr Nisha Iyer

Dr Nisha Iyer is a dedicated and compassionate General Practitioner who is committed to providing high-quality, patient-centred care. She believes in working collaboratively with her patients to help them achieve optimal health outcomes, utilising a modern and holistic approach to general medicine. With a reassuring and professional manner, Dr Iyer supports individuals and families through all stages of life, focusing on preventative care and long-term wellness.

Dr Iyer completed her medical studies at Monash University, graduating with a Bachelor of Medicine / Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) in 2014. Following her graduation, she gained extensive clinical experience across a broad range of medical specialties while working at several major public hospitals in Victoria. She completed her specialist General Practice training in 2019 and was admitted as a Fellow of The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) in 2020. Additionally, she holds a Certificate of Women's Health (CWH) from the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists.

Throughout her career, Dr Iyer has developed a diverse range of clinical interests. She is highly skilled in women's health, offering comprehensive services that include early pregnancy management, shared maternity care, and contraceptive advice, and she is fully trained in the insertion and removal of contraceptive devices such as Implanon and Mirena. Her expertise also extends to paediatrics, adolescent health, mental health, and preventative medicine. Furthermore, she is passionate about providing inclusive healthcare, with dedicated interests in LGBTIQ+ health, travel medicine, and HIV prevention, including PrEP management.
