About Dr Nima Ahmadi
Dr. Nima Ahmadi is a highly skilled General, Colorectal, and Peritonectomy Surgeon with public hospital appointments at Royal Prince Alfred (RPA) Hospital and St George Hospital, as well as private hospital appointments at Chris O’Brien Lifehouse, The Mater Hospital, and St George Private Hospital.
Dr. Ahmadi specialises in minimally invasive surgeries, including robotic and laparoscopic procedures for both benign and malignant general and colorectal conditions. He is also an expert in treating locally advanced peritoneal surface diseases, such as appendiceal, colorectal, and other abdominal pathologies. He works at both Cytoreductive Surgery (Peritonectomy) centres serving NSW and ACT.
Dr. Ahmadi completed his General Surgical training in Sydney and was awarded his Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) in 2017. He further specialised with post-fellowship training in Colorectal Surgery through the Colorectal Surgical Society of Australia and New Zealand (CSSANZ) in 2020, followed by advanced training in Cytoreductive Surgery through the European School of Peritoneal Surface Oncology (ESPSO) in 2021. These advanced clinical posts took him to The Tweed Hospital, Royal Prince Alfred, St George Hospitals in Sydney, and Basingstoke Hospital in the UK.
Dr. Ahmadi’s special interests include peritoneal surface oncology, colorectal cancer, robotic and minimally invasive surgery, hernia and complex abdominal wall surgery, proctology, and endoscopy/colonoscopy.
Dr. Ahmadi is a member of the Colorectal Surgical Society of Australia and New Zealand (CSSANZ) and the European School of Peritoneal Surface Oncology (ESPSO).
