Dr Niladri Saha

Dr Niladri Saha is a highly respected Consultant Ophthalmologist who provides comprehensive, patient-centred eye care. He specialises in the diagnosis and management of complex ocular conditions, with a particular focus on retinal diseases and advanced microsurgery. Known for his reassuring and professional approach, Dr Saha is dedicated to delivering ethical, transparent, and high-quality treatment to help patients preserve and restore their vision.

Dr Saha completed his medical education in the United Kingdom, graduating with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) alongside a first-class Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Pathological Sciences. He completed his general postgraduate medical and surgical training in the North of England before undertaking specialist training in Ophthalmology. In 2006, he was admitted as a Fellow of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists (London). To further refine his expertise, he completed advanced training in retinal diseases across the United Kingdom, Germany, and Australia. He was subsequently admitted as a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists (RANZCO) and holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Clinical Education.

In his clinical practice, Dr Saha focuses on vitreoretinal surgery, cataract surgery, and the medical management of retinal conditions, including age-related macular degeneration and diabetic eye disease. Beyond his clinical duties, he is deeply involved in medical education, teaching Junior Ophthalmologists and Medical Students. He also contributes to the advancement of his profession at a national level, serving on key ophthalmic committees and taskforces dedicated to improving surgical training standards.
