Dr Nicholas Martin

Dr Nicholas Martin is a dedicated General Practitioner who provides comprehensive, patient-centred care. He approaches medicine with the belief that patients should be treated as whole individuals rather than a collection of isolated symptoms. By fostering a collaborative relationship built on trust, mutual understanding, and active listening, Dr Martin works closely with his patients to help them achieve their optimal health and well-being. He values the diverse nature of general practice and is committed to delivering inclusive, compassionate care to individuals from all walks of life.

With a broad range of clinical interests, Dr Martin has developed significant expertise in sexual health, LGBTQIA+ health, and gender-affirming healthcare, which includes hormonal prescribing and management. He is a licensed s100 prescriber for HIV medications and regularly assists patients with PrEP prescribing. Additionally, Dr Martin is passionate about supporting patients with eating disorders, disordered eating, and body image concerns, utilising a Health At Every Size (HAES) affirming framework. His practice also encompasses paediatric and adolescent health, palliative care, skin cancer medicine, as well as refugee and Indigenous health.

Dr Martin completed his medical training at the University of Queensland, graduating with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) alongside a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in 2014. Committed to maintaining the highest standards of clinical excellence, he achieved his Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) in 2019. Throughout his career, he has gained valuable experience working across diverse clinical settings, including general practices, sexual health clinics, and community health services.
