Dr Nevin John

Dr Nevin John is a highly dedicated Consultant Neurologist who specialises in diagnosing and managing a wide range of neurological conditions. With a compassionate and patient-centred approach, he is committed to providing comprehensive care that is tailored to the unique needs of each individual. Dr John focuses on empowering his patients through clear communication, ensuring they fully understand their diagnosis and treatment options.

His primary clinical interests lie in neuroinflammatory disorders, with a particular focus on multiple sclerosis (MS) and white matter disorders. Dr John is actively involved in clinical research, particularly investigating how advanced neuroimaging techniques can be utilised to better understand disease progression and improve patient outcomes. His expertise also extends to general neurology, where he addresses diverse neurological symptoms and conditions with the utmost clinical precision.

Dr John obtained his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from the University of Adelaide in 2009. He completed his specialist neurology training in Melbourne before pursuing advanced postgraduate studies abroad. He was awarded a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Neurosciences from University College London, where his research focused on advanced magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) markers in progressive multiple sclerosis. Additionally, he completed a prestigious clinical fellowship in neurological disorders at a world-leading neurological centre in London, further refining his expertise in neuroimmunology. Dr John is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP).
