Dr Neel Heerasing

Dr Neel Heerasing is a highly qualified Consultant Gastroenterologist and Endoscopist who provides comprehensive, evidence-based care for patients experiencing a wide range of digestive health issues. He is dedicated to delivering individualised and state-of-the-art medical treatment, ensuring that each patient receives a tailored approach to their specific condition. With a clinical focus on digestive health, Dr Heerasing works collaboratively with patients to manage both acute and chronic gastrointestinal disorders, prioritising patient comfort and clinical excellence.

Dr Heerasing completed his medical degree with first-class Honours from Monash University in 2008, where he was recognised as the Dux of the Southern Clinical School. He undertook his basic physician training and specialist training in gastroenterology at several leading Australian health institutions, achieving his Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) in 2015. To further his expertise, he completed a prestigious two-year research fellowship in the United Kingdom focusing on inflammatory bowel disease pharmacogenetics. In addition to his clinical practice, he serves as a Senior Clinical Lecturer at Deakin University, contributing to the education of future medical professionals.
