Dr Navid Amirabadi

Navid Amirabadi is a highly specialised physician with triple certification in Pain Medicine, Palliative Medicine and General Practice. His broad clinical background, which also includes experience in Emergency Medicine and Rural Medicine, allows him to manage the full spectrum of pain with a holistic, patient-centred approach.

He has undertaken advanced training in interventional pain procedures through a dedicated procedural fellowship, equipping him with expertise in modern image-guided techniques. His clinical practice includes cutting-edge treatments such as spinal cord stimulation and peripheral nerve stimulation, offering patients minimally invasive options for managing complex pain conditions.

Dr Amirabadi is also a recognised educator and plays an active role in training future clinicians. He regularly delivers teaching to general practitioners and doctors on pain medicine and serves as a supervisor and assessor in Palliative Medicine for the Royal Australasian College of Physicians, contributing to the development of the next generation of specialists.

Known for his personalised approach, he takes time to understand each patient’s individual experience of pain and develops tailored treatment plans aimed at improving function and overall quality of life. In 2020, he founded Total Pain, a centre dedicated to delivering comprehensive, multidisciplinary pain management with a focus on both clinical excellence and compassionate care.
