Dr Myat Aung

Dr Myat Aung is a dedicated and compassionate General Practitioner who is committed to providing comprehensive, patient-centred care. With a broad clinical focus, she supports individuals and families through all stages of life, offering personalised medical guidance. Dr Aung strongly believes in fostering long-term relationships with her patients, ensuring they feel heard, respected, and well-supported in managing their health and well-being.

Throughout her career, Dr Aung has developed a diverse range of clinical interests, with a particular focus on paediatric care and skin health. She is highly skilled in child health, chronic disease management, and preventative medicine. Additionally, she has undertaken advanced training in dermatology and skin cancer medicine, allowing her to perform thorough skin checks, dermoscopy, and manage various dermatological conditions. Her holistic approach to healthcare also encompasses home medicines reviews and the development of tailored care plans to help patients manage complex, long-term health conditions.

Dr Aung completed her primary medical degree, a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery, at the University of Medicine, Yangon, in 2005. After relocating to Australia, she gained valuable clinical experience working as a Resident Medical Officer in a major hospital and completed her General Practice training in regional Victoria. In 2014, she was awarded a Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP). Committed to continuous professional development, she also holds a Diploma in Child Health from the University of Sydney, an Australian Dermatology Diploma from the Australian Institute of Dermatology, and has completed advanced certifications in skin cancer medicine and dermoscopy.
