Dr Monica Comsa

Dr Monica Comsa is a highly dedicated Respiratory and Sleep Medicine Physician based in Kingswood, Australia. With a patient-centred approach, she specialises in diagnosing and managing a wide spectrum of respiratory and sleep disorders. Dr Comsa is committed to delivering comprehensive, high-quality care to help patients achieve optimal lung health and improved quality of life. Throughout her career, Dr Comsa has developed a particular interest in chronic airway diseases, such as asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), as well as interstitial lung disease and sleep disorders, with a specific focus on respiratory failure. She has been instrumental in establishing vital clinical services, including inpatient treatment with non-invasive ventilation and respiratory lung function laboratories. Additionally, Dr Comsa is an active member of a multidisciplinary cancer care team, collaborating with other healthcare professionals to co-ordinate comprehensive care for patients diagnosed with lung cancer. She is also deeply passionate about medical education, actively training and mentoring Medical Students, Junior Doctors, and Advanced Trainees in Respiratory Medicine.

Dr Comsa completed her medical education at the Institute of Medicine in Cluj, Romania, qualifying with a Doctor of Medicine in 1989. After relocating to Australia, she obtained her certificate from the Australian Medical Council in 1994. She completed her specialist training and is a proud Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians.
