His expertise also extends to paediatric care, skin cancer medicine, and performing minor surgical procedures such as excisions and wound repairs. Additionally, Dr Alam provides specialised treatments, including cortisone injections for joint and tendon issues, and offers comprehensive health assessments, pre-employment medicals, and commercial driver's licence examinations.

Dr Alam obtained his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from the University of Chittagong in 1988. Committed to advancing his clinical knowledge, he later completed a Master of Medicine in Family Medicine (MMed) through the College of Family Practitioners of South Africa. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) and holds a Membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners (MRCGP). His academic foundation is further supported by a Doctor of Medicine (MD) and a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry.
