Dr Miriam Brooks

Dr Miriam Brooks is a dedicated and compassionate General Practitioner who provides comprehensive, patient-centred care to individuals and families. With a reassuring and professional approach, she focuses on understanding each patient's unique circumstances to deliver tailored healthcare solutions. Dr Brooks is committed to fostering long-term, supportive relationships with her patients, ensuring they feel heard and respected throughout their healthcare journey.

Throughout her clinical career, Dr Brooks has developed a diverse range of clinical interests, with a particular focus on women's health, adolescent health, and mental health. She is highly regarded for her expertise in trauma-informed care, which allows her to support patients who have experienced significant adversity with sensitivity and understanding. Her clinical focus also extends to refugee health, Aboriginal health, and the integration of mindfulness-based therapies to support overall well-being.

In addition to her clinical work, Dr Brooks is actively involved in medical education and research. She serves as a Senior Lecturer in the Department of General Practice at Western Sydney University, where she helps train the next generation of medical professionals. Dr Brooks holds a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) and a Master of Qualitative Health Research (MQHR). She is also a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP), demonstrating her ongoing commitment to maintaining the highest standards of clinical excellence.
