Dr Michael McVeigh

Dr Michael McVeigh is a dedicated and highly skilled Consultant Neurologist who provides comprehensive care for patients experiencing a wide range of neurological conditions. He is committed to delivering evidence-based, patient-centred care, ensuring that individuals receive clear explanations and personalised treatment plans. As a general Neurologist, Dr McVeigh focuses on diagnosing and managing disorders of the brain, spinal cord, nerves, and muscles, helping patients navigate complex neurological challenges with reassurance and professional expertise.

With a broad range of clinical interests, Dr McVeigh specialises in the assessment and management of conditions such as migraines, epilepsy, stroke, and movement disorders. He has a particular interest in neuromuscular neurology, focusing on peripheral nerve and muscle disorders. To support accurate diagnoses, he performs electromyography (EMG), a specialised diagnostic procedure used to evaluate the health of muscles and the nerve cells that control them. Dr McVeigh completed his medical education at Deakin University, graduating with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (BMBS) in 2012.
