Dr Michael Garrett is a highly qualified and dedicated Consultant Anaesthetist based in Glen Iris, Melbourne. He provides comprehensive anaesthetic care for patients undergoing a wide range of surgical procedures. Dr Garrett is committed to ensuring patient safety, comfort, and peace of mind throughout the perioperative journey, from the initial pre-operative assessment to post-operative recovery. After completing his initial medical training, Dr Garrett gained broad clinical experience both locally and internationally. He worked as a Medical Resident at a major metropolitan hospital in Melbourne before embarking on several years of international practice. This included working within the public health system in the United Kingdom and spending time in Vietnam, where he acquired valuable expertise in resuscitation and retrieval medicine. Upon returning to Australia, he completed his advanced specialist training in anaesthesia, which included completing clinical fellowships at major tertiary and specialist women's hospitals.

Dr Garrett obtained his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from the University of Melbourne, qualifying in 1993. He is a Fellow of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (FANZCA), which represents the highest standard of professional training in the field.
