Dr Micaela Kemm

Dr Micaela Kemm is a dedicated and compassionate General Practitioner who provides comprehensive, patient-centred care. With a strong commitment to supporting individuals and families through all stages of life, she focuses on general practice, preventative healthcare, and chronic disease management. Dr Kemm is known for her reassuring and empathetic approach, utilising a trauma-informed framework to ensure that every patient feels safe, heard, and respected during their consultations.

Throughout her career, Dr Kemm has developed diverse clinical interests, particularly in women's health, contraception, and family planning, including procedures such as Implanon insertion and removal, as well as Mirena and IUD removals. She is highly experienced in paediatric care, youth health, and mental health support. Additionally, Dr Kemm is passionate about inclusive healthcare, offering dedicated support in LGBTQIA+ health, which includes prescribing gender-affirming hormone therapy under the informed consent model. Her expertise also extends to antenatal and postnatal care, with a focus on breastfeeding medicine and infant sleep support, as well as refugee and asylum seeker health.

Dr Kemm completed her Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery, and Bachelor of Medical Science at the University of Melbourne in 2008. Following her initial medical training, she completed her General Practice training in Canberra, which included rural placements, and spent two years working in Indigenous health in the Northern Territory. To further her clinical expertise, she obtained a Diploma in Child Health and a Diploma of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. Dr Kemm was awarded Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2014.
