Dr Merran MacKenzie is a dedicated Consultant Paediatrician who is deeply committed to providing comprehensive, compassionate care for children and their families. She has a particular clinical interest in managing common yet often distressing childhood conditions, including bedwetting, daytime urinary incontinence, constipation, and faecal incontinence. Understanding that these issues can significantly impact a child's self-esteem and family life, Dr MacKenzie focuses on delivering thorough assessments to identify the underlying causes and establish tailored, effective treatment plans.

Dr MacKenzie completed her specialist training as a General Paediatrician at a major tertiary children's hospital in Sydney. Throughout her career, she has gained extensive clinical experience working in paediatric emergency medicine and dedicated refugee health services. Her expertise in paediatric continence was further refined through intensive clinical training alongside leading specialists in the field, where she focused on the assessment and management of complex bladder and bowel issues in children. As a mother of five, she brings a highly empathetic and practical perspective to her medical practice, ensuring that families feel supported at every stage of their child's healthcare journey.

Dr MacKenzie earned her medical degree with Honours from the University of New South Wales, where she also completed a postgraduate Diploma of Paediatrics. She is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of Physicians within the Paediatric and Child Health Division.
