Dr Melanie Phillips

Dr Melanie Phillips is a dedicated and compassionate General Practitioner who provides comprehensive, patient-centred care. Coming from a family of healthcare professionals, she was inspired from an early age to pursue a career in medicine. Dr Phillips is committed to supporting patients through all stages of life, offering a reassuring and professional approach to family medicine.

Dr Phillips completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Melbourne, where she majored in physiology and anatomy, completing an Honours year in neurophysiology. She then obtained her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from Flinders University. During her medical training, she participated in the Northern Territory Clinical School, gaining valuable clinical experience in Darwin, Alice Springs, and surrounding remote communities. She is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.

Prior to specialising in General Practice, Dr Phillips gained extensive experience working in emergency medicine across various metropolitan and regional hospitals, including dedicated paediatric emergency departments. This diverse background has equipped her with a broad range of clinical skills and a strong foundation in acute care. Her primary areas of clinical interest include women's health, children's health, and preventative medicine, allowing her to deliver holistic care to individuals and families.
