Dr Melanie Bissessor

Dr Melanie Bissessor is a highly dedicated General Practitioner and Sexual Health Physician who specialises in providing comprehensive, compassionate, and non-judgemental sexual health care. With a strong commitment to supporting diverse patient populations, she focuses on delivering affirmative general healthcare, particularly for the LGBTIQ+ community. Her clinical practice encompasses a wide range of services, including sexually transmissible infection (STI) screening and treatment, HIV prevention and management, and general health promotion.

Dr Bissessor has extensive expertise in the prevention, diagnosis, and management of complex infectious diseases. Her clinical interests include the monitoring and treatment of HIV infections, as well as the administration of Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) and Post-Exposure Prophylaxis (PEP). She is also highly skilled in hepatitis screening, vaccination, and monitoring, including modern hepatitis C treatments.
