Max Mack

Maximillian "Max" Mack is a dedicated Psychologist who is committed to providing tailored therapeutic interventions and assessments to meet the unique needs of his clients. He prioritises the establishment of positive relationships in therapy, recognising that trust and rapport are foundational to creating a safe space for open communication. Taking a holistic stance on mental health, Mack believes in involving family and support networks in the therapeutic journey to foster a collaborative environment and build lasting connections within the community.

Mack's clinical proficiency spans a broad spectrum, encompassing both assessments and treatments for children, adolescents, and adults. He has a particular interest in supporting individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Intellectual Disability, and various behavioural and psychological conditions, including anxiety and depression. In his practice, he utilises evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to address both immediate symptoms and underlying thought patterns. He also offers specialised assessments covering executive functioning, cognitive and learning difficulties, and functional reports.

Mack completed his academic training with a Bachelor of Psychology from James Cook University, followed by a Master of Clinical Psychology (with Distinction) from Central Queensland University. Prior to his work in private practice, he gained valuable experience working within both government and non-government organisations in the community sector, including roles in child safety, probation, and parole. This diverse background uniquely informs his understanding of how systemic factors impact individuals and families, allowing him to deliver highly informed and compassionate care.
