Dr Maurizio Pacilli

Dr Maurizio Pacilli is an experienced Paediatric Surgeon with expertise in both complex paediatric surgical conditions and common childhood surgical procedures. He graduated from the University of Rome, Italy, in 2000 and completed his specialist training in paediatric surgery in Italy in 2005. He subsequently moved to the United Kingdom to further develop his career in clinical research and advanced paediatric surgical practice.

Dr Pacilli was awarded an MD from University College London in 2010 for his research into minimally invasive surgery in children. He later achieved Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons in Paediatric Surgery and Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. Throughout his career, he has held positions at leading paediatric centres, including Great Ormond Street Hospital and Chelsea and Westminster Hospital in the UK

His clinical interests include tongue ties, undescended testes, hernias, removal of lumps and lesions, pilonidal sinuses, acute abdominal and scrotal presentations, and ingrown toenails. He also has specialist expertise in minimally invasive paediatric and neonatal surgery, colorectal conditions and vascular anomalies.

Alongside his clinical practice, Dr Pacilli is a Senior Research Fellow at Monash University and remains actively involved in publishing peer-reviewed research, earning numerous awards for his contributions to paediatric surgery.
