Dr Matthew Katz

Dr Matthew Katz is a highly qualified Consultant Neurologist and Neurophysiologist based in Auchenflower, Queensland. Dedicated to providing comprehensive and compassionate care, he specialises in diagnosing and managing a wide range of complex neurological conditions. Dr Katz is committed to delivering patient-centred care, ensuring that individuals receive tailored treatment plans that address their unique clinical needs and improve their quality of life.

Dr Katz obtained his medical degree in 2011 through James Cook University. Following the completion of his specialist training in Neurology, he completed a fellowship in Movement Disorders and Neuromuscular Disease at a major tertiary hospital in Brisbane in 2019. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP), which demonstrates his commitment to maintaining the highest standards of medical practice.

In his clinical practice, Dr Katz focuses on a variety of complex neurological areas, with particular expertise in movement disorders, neuromuscular disease, and motor neurone disease. He is also highly skilled in neurophysiology and offers specialised treatments, including botulinum toxin therapy for focal dystonia.
