Dr Mary Iskander

Dr Mary Iskander is a dedicated and compassionate Consultant Paediatrician who is deeply committed to providing comprehensive, patient-centred care for infants, children, and adolescents. With extensive experience in both general and behavioural paediatrics, she supports families in navigating a wide range of childhood health, developmental, and behavioural concerns. Dr Iskander is known for her reassuring and professional approach, ensuring that every child receives the highest standard of medical attention in a supportive environment.

Her clinical practice encompasses a broad spectrum of paediatric medicine, with a particular focus on developmental and behavioural assessments. Dr Iskander has a strong interest in supporting children with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD), including those with specific language disorders. Additionally, she provides expert management for common childhood illnesses, childhood asthma, sleep difficulties, weight management, growth and puberty concerns, and challenged learning. Her holistic approach aims to address both the physical and emotional well-being of her young patients.

Dr Iskander completed her medical education at the University of New South Wales, graduating with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery. She went on to complete her specialist paediatric training at a leading tertiary paediatric hospital in Sydney. Committed to advancing her knowledge in public health and clinical excellence, she also obtained a Master of Public Health. Dr Iskander is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians, reflecting her high level of expertise and dedication to the field of paediatric medicine.
